Curriculum-Based Tutoring
Curriculum-Based Tutoring is provided at Liberty Elementary for students who are struggling in Reading or Math. Teachers determine eligibility during their Professional Learning Community (PLC) team meetings, using assessment data based on curriculum standards. Eligible students are invited for second and/or third quarter reinforcement and supplemental instruction. We only request a total parent contribution of $25 for the quarter, as Tax Credit Monies are utilized to supplement the remaining cost for the tutoring. Liberty teachers provide their time to tutor small groups, generally one time a week, before or after school. Through Curriculum-Based Tutoring, students have made steady growth and improvement in concept mastery, as well as assessment scores. If you have any questions regarding Curriculum-Based Tutoring, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.
