About Our School

Liberty Elementary School opened in 1977 as a part of the Paradise Valley School District. The school was completely rebuilt during 2002-03.

Liberty Elementary has a reputation of excellence! Liberty offers kindergarten through sixth grade and currently has approximately 400 students enrolled. Our school offers excellent resources onsite including Chromebooks for every student and a truly remarkable selection of books to encourage our young readers.

Liberty is committed to offering the high quality and rigorous education that our students need to be successful in all areas – from academics to social and emotional development. We teach Arizona’s College and Career Ready Standards in Math and English Language Arts at each grade level. Our teachers work to meet the needs of all students through differentiated instruction, monitoring progress, and daily intervention and enrichment opportunities.

Extracurricular activities at Liberty include student council, chorus, strings, and band. In addition, every student participates in weekly rotations of art, music, physical education and STEAM. Our school also provides before and after school programs through Community Education, highlighted by the Mascot program.

Our teachers and staff strive to maintain a climate of high academic expectations, as well as strong social and emotional skills. We are currently a Second Step campus, which allows students to learn more about Growth Mindset & Goal-Setting, Emotion Management, Empathy & Kindness, and Problem-Solving. Our 6th grade students provide weekly support for other students and develop leadership skills.

Our Values

We truly value the relationships that we have built over the years with our continuing families, and we are looking forward to building successful relationships with our new families. We pride ourselves on being a student-centered school where we actively focus on what is best for our students and their education. Open communication and a wonderful home-school connection are a couple of ways that we can work together to support the learning and growth of all of our students.
